WE HAVE TO GO!!!!!!!!

Opening day for the 4th Annual Atlanta Italian Film Festival is this Monday, March 29. We will open the doors with music and some light food and drink (wine+) and the music of the Trevor Eich Jazz Ensemble.

The movie, Italians, is scheduled for screening at 7:30.

Directed by Giovanni Veronesi, Italians was released in 2009 and stars Carlo Verdone, Sergio Castellitto. We had originally scheduled it to screen twice, as our crowd-pleaser, but it will now show only on opening day due to a scheduling problem on Sunday. One critic, writes:

Eccellente la regia di Veronesi, migliora sempre più. Sceneggiato arrangiato, che si riallaccia finalmente alla commedia all'italiana, prodotto quest'ultimo, a mio giudizio veramente buono (basti pensare alle commedie americane di cui andiamo pazzi ed analizzarne i contenuti e sceneggiato, quasi sempre sono delle vere e proprie ca...e). La vita dell'italiano è buffa di conseguenza basta raccontarla per far venire fuori una commedia...

ALL FILMS, again, are FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC so bring your friends’ friends. Multiply our forces using twitter, facebook and yelling in the streets. But seriously, a strong showing at opening will help our Italian Film Festival grow. This year, a lot of hard work, dedication have gone a long way in keeping us growing (with 8 rather than 4 films) during challenging economic times.
